Recruitment OPERATIONs assistant

As a Recruitment Operations Assistant at Onward Recruitment, Daniela supports the day-to-day coordination and operational flow of the hiring process, working closely with the team to ensure both clients and candidates have a smooth and well-managed experience.

What shapes Daniela’s approach most is her understanding that recruitment is never just about filling a role, it is also about people navigating important career decisions. Having a strong appreciation for the candidate experience, she brings a thoughtful and personable approach to her work, while still keeping a close eye on detail and process.

She is known for being warm, approachable, and highly organized, with a natural ability to make people feel comfortable while keeping things moving behind the scenes. Daniela enjoys solving the practical challenges that come with recruitment operations, whether that means creating order in fast-moving processes, supporting team workflow, or helping connect the right people with the right opportunities.

What sets her apart is that she does not view her role as purely administrative or transactional. She understands the human side of recruitment and takes pride in contributing to an experience that feels efficient, professional, and personal from start to finish.

OFF THE CLOCK

Most people are surprised to learn:
I can actually be quite introverted. As much as I enjoy being social, outgoing, and chatting, I also really value peace, quiet, and time to recharge.

A former chapter of my life that still influences me:
Working as a waitress. It gave me a lot of perspective on people, patience, and how much small interactions can shape someone’s day. It also taught me not to underestimate the value of kindness.

A personal interest I take very seriously:
The gym. It is a huge part of my routine and one of the main ways I reset - not just physically, but mentally too.

A small thing that brings me outsized joy:
My cats - Moo, Poppy, and Floky. They have very big personalities, very little respect for personal space, and somehow always know how to make an ordinary day more entertaining.

A competitive or adventurous streak I’m known for:
Taking games far more seriously than necessary. Board games, card games, casual competitions - if there is a chance to win, I will absolutely act like it matters.

Something I’ll probably always make time for:
Trying new food. I love finding new places to eat, ordering something different, and turning a simple meal into a whole experience.
