OFF THE CLOCK
Outside of work, I enjoy:
Writing poetry and spending time with words. Writing feels like an escape from a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming or overly serious. For me, it is a way to process reality, explore ideas, and understand emotions more deeply. Writing allows space to examine ideologies, move around them, and make sense of complex thoughts. I see it as a reflection of human expression, capturing pieces of who we are on paper.
A hobby I make time for:
Reading. I value reading not only for expanding my vocabulary, but for broadening the way I think. I am drawn to thought-provoking books that leave lingering questions and challenge how I view the world. I enjoy stories and ideas that explore what things seem to be, what they might be, and how they feel beneath the surface.
Something that always puts me in a good mood:
Music. There is something grounding about having my favorite songs playing and enjoying my own quiet concerts in my space. It allows me to disconnect, feel present, and enjoy the moment fully.
A place I would love to visit:
Italy, especially for its cuisine and scenery. I have always been drawn to Italian food and the culture around it, along with the architecture and calm beauty of the landscapes. It feels like a place rooted in history, creativity, and peace.
A skill or interest people might not expect:
An interest in economics, current affairs, and research. I enjoy understanding how systems work and how global events shape everyday life. Research helps connect ideas and provides clarity, and I find comfort in understanding what is happening around me.
Something I am always curious about:
The concept of existence. I often think about how much had to happen for someone to simply be, and how easily that fact is overlooked. That coupled with the complexity within simply existing and the ability to appreciate oneself for such. This has always been a constant thought of mine. I am curious about what it means to truly exist, to appreciate who you would like to be, accept all that you are, and come to terms with what you may never become.
